Two weeks of watching the weather reports and worrying about the predicted thunderstorms, was just a waste of time because May 27th, turned out to be a beautiful sunny day for the Wedding of Katie & Matt. Katie & Matt were surrounded by so many family members and friends at their beautiful Church wedding in Leesburg, Va. The wedding ceremony was held at St. John's Catholic Church with it's beautiful stained glass windows and natural light streaming in. Followed by the reception at Belmont Country club in Ashburn, Virginia. What a joy it was to photograph this couple and get to know the families a bit. One of the sweetest families you'd ever want to know! I was fighting back the tears as I watched Nancy, the mother of the bride, come into the room and see her Katie for the first time in her wedding dress. Her baby girl, all grown up and about to marry the man of her dreams. Followed by a grand entrance down the vintage staircase to show her Father what she looked like in her Wedding gown. Then, watching the groom, tear up as he watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle to him!! What a fabulous day!!
