My dear friend Sheri asked me to photograph her New Year’s eve wedding, even though I’m retired from doing weddings. I gladly accepted, knowing it would be such an honor to be a part of her big day! What a magical day it was and I loved getting to capture these special moments of this sweet couple!! They were surrounded by their family and friends and the celebration went on into 2022!! Yet another rainy wedding celebration! The fourth one in 2 weeks! That didn't stop this cute couple from having fun though. They even braved the thunderstorm to get an amazing shot out in the downpour! Even though they got married in another country, they wanted to have their reception here in Va with friends and family and what a fun night it was. One of the best parts about photographing Seniors is they grow up and ask you to photograph their wedding as well! I get so excited about watching them grow into amazing adults and Hillary is no exception. Wow, what a beautiful young lady she is both inside and out! She is brilliant, talented, successful and madly in love with God and with her new husband, Matt. It's been a joy watching them together, and getting to know Matt a little as well. They truly are made for each other and I'm thrilled that I was asked to be a part of their special day. What made it even more special was my dear friend Amy is Hillary's mother. Getting to be alongside her and watch the magical day unfold yesterday was pure joy! Love them all and wish them the best!
