What a fantastic group of young ladies that I have to work with this summer!! It’s a rather large group and most of them were able to make the group shoot yesterday even in 94+ degree weather!! Thank you fabulous parents for the effort and the fun and assistance!! You’ve raised true beauties!! I can’t wait for all of the Individual shoots later this month and next! Stay tuned!
Each year at this time, I put out a Young Model Call that is similar to my High School Senior Model Team. For a very limited time, I accept applications for graduating 8th graders (or possibly 7th, or 9th). This is an opportunity to capture the beauty of youth, before the new world of High School begins. These have become some of my favorite shoots because I literally watch the self confidence soar in these young people. I truly believe it helps them gain confidence in themselves before entering the scary world of High School with all of it’s unknowns. Many of the young ladies who come into my Young Model program, are a bit timid and shy, but when we get together on the fun group shoot, they realize what a blast it is, and they let down their inhibitions and have a blast with the other models. By the time we do their individual shoot, they are pros and so much more confident in who they are and in my relationship with them. I just love building these relationship and then hopefully they can come back as one of my Senior Models when they are Juniors in High school!
This isn’t the first time I have photographed the gorgeous Kayla and it won’t be my last! I’m thrilled that she’s on my Senior Model team for 2019-20!! This was just one of our “fall” photo opportunities and since she wasn’t available when I photographed the other girls, we did some photos of her a few days ago. She is a natural - true beauty for sure!!
