low down on senior model team & applying

Each year at this time, I put out a Senior Model call for current Juniors in High school. I look for school and community involvement, as well as leadership and many other things. I don’t choose based on beauty. These models will become the face of Kate Mitchem Photography for the year. They will have me as their photographer for their Senior photos (and will have same package options that my other Senior clients have), the only difference is .. Professional makeup is included for their Individual Senior shoot with me, and they will get to take part in 2-3 incredibly fun Group shoots (snow shoot, fall shoot, fair shoot, stylized shoot . . etc . .) with a few social media photos from each group shoot. Plus, they will end up with many more photos to choose from during their “Viewing/Ordering” session after they have their Individual shoot, during the summer months before their Senior year. So, they end up having many “extra” perks because they are on the Senior Model team. Not to mention the new friends they will make with the other Models (and parents). If I need a model for a stylized shoot during the year, I will pull from my Senior Model group. I just love the relationship that forms between us all and I look forward to it each year, and then I get so sad as they move onto college after their senior year. However, I’ve made a friend for life, so I look forward to watching them grow into young men and women as they move onto bigger and better things. I just know we have beautiful wall art to freeze this moment in time!
