Well, I had planned to talk a lot about this incredibly amazing church where Michael & Amy got married because of the history and the heritage of it, but . . the love story of these two had to be told! The Historic St. Mary's of Sorrows church in Fairfax Station, does hold an AMAZING past and it should be mentioned that Clara Barton tended the wounded here during the Civil War but .. Michael & Amy's amazing love story is more exciting for me to talk about right now! Sometimes I get referred to my wedding couple by other clients of mine and I don't get to know them too much before the actual wedding day. That is the case with Michael & Amy. They both live and work in Florida, and flew here to get married in Virginia. Because of that, I didn't meet them until the actual wedding day, Saturday. Well, I can't tell you how difficult it was to not cry my eyes out during this couple's ceremony and first dance together!! Even though I just met them, the love between them was SO apparent and then Michael (with tears running down his cheeks) took time away from his own reception to tell me how he and Amy met and their incredible love story together!! There were some hardships that led up to them meeting but they actually were in high school together years ago, and then got reconnected years later! Wow! Well, it was such an incredible honor to be the one to photograph this incredible love story, and the marriage of Michael & Amy. Here are just a few photos from their special day. I'm so happy for you both and excited for your new life together, just sad it's in Florida and not here!
